Disable need to lift iPhone to turn off alarm

Yes, I reboot daily. Next step is Reset, and failing that, reset to factor default. I haven't yet decided to go ahead with those.

Disable need to lift iPhone to turn off alarm

The current behaviour probably arose because of a recent update (weeks/months ago).

Further clarification: Raise to Wake is already disabled.

Disable need to lift iPhone to turn off alarm

Clarification: Lifting the phone by itself doesn't stop the alarm, and neither does pressing Stop alone. I have to life the phone *and* press Stop. I am using iOS 11.2.6 on the iPhone SE.

Disable need to lift iPhone to turn off alarm

When an alarm goes off, no amount of hitting the Stop button in various ways seems to turn it off unless I lift the phone. Is there any way to disable the requirement to lift the phone?

Is my Contacts info being sent to the cloud?

Being secure is better than not, but I'm more bothered by the fact that it was taken at all. Security of transmittal and proper disposal only matters if the info is being taken off the phone, and the removal of my data is not something that I'm OK with. I don't recall any indications of this...

Is my Contacts info being sent to the cloud?

It looks like Apple has adopted the position that it's easier to seek forgiveness than permission. Not that they're seeking forgiveness, mind you. It all boils down to the privacy enforcement measures available, I suppose. To think that I chose this juggernaut based on its respect for individual...

Is my Contacts info being sent to the cloud?

I just got off the phone with Apple Support, 1800MyApple. All of the address info across all my Contacts is in fact sent to their servers without notification or permission.

Is my Contacts info being sent to the cloud?

I moved from Android to iPhone after years of anxting over which of the juggernauts would be less disrepectful of one's privacy, and more diligent about the safety of the apps in their store. I chose Apple, and recently made the move. Last month, that is, and I am being inducted into the world...

Help selecting a iPhone SE mount for use in 2013 Honda Fit LX

Frankly, it doesn't seem very likely to me, but apparently, the reason why it attacts thieves is because it's not uncommon for people to leave electronics in the car (a GPS dedicated device, if not a phone). I was hoping to read that dedicated GPS devices are less attractive to thieves now, but...

Help selecting a iPhone SE mount for use in 2013 Honda Fit LX

After hearing feedback from Fit owners who have permanently mounted phone holders, I researched it a bit more. One potential concern is that the presence of mounts tends to attract the attention of thieves. Even with a suction mount, you have to remove evidence of the mount when you remove the...

How to force a sync with Exchange server

Based on responses from AkrutoSync and other forums, and verified by yours truly, pulling down on Calendar and Contacts lists causes a sync. There is no such feature for Notes, but the iPhone Notes app seems to automatically attempt a sync when I add/delete notes. Furthermore, if I add/delete...

Help selecting a iPhone SE mount for use in 2013 Honda Fit LX

I'm confused. Is the 2nd link the portion that you use to mount on the dash? The pictures don't make it clear how it is mounted. Meanwhile, an alternate candidate that I've been looking at comes from http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-generation-ge-08-13/79055-cell-phone-mount.html. I'm...
