    X preorder thread

Had to place a 2nd order since my 1st was just lingering as pending. Was starting to question if 420PM CST last Thursday’s was still within the advertised (Sprint’s cutoff for the Silver 64GB X was 5pm EST) 11/3 delivery window. This will be the 1st time since camping out for the 5 that the...

    X preorder thread

@Muckcityjustin Sprint reported avaialble inventory for launch day delivery of the 64GB models until 6PM EST & the 256GB’s until noon yesterday. probably because the preorder process was so problematic. If one were lucky enough to get in early, there was a decent chance it got canceled.

    X preorder thread

None yet But according to my thread in MacRumors, was one of the 1st few. Think we’ll be in the 1st wave for Sprint.

    X preorder thread

Sprint’s site was a nightmare, took 37 minutes to get the oder processed for two 64 GB X’s, one Silver one Grey. I did qualify for the FlexPay/trade-in promotion of 350 off, so will only be paying 22 monthly each. Did not get any shipping estimate.... In the 36 minutes prior to order processing...

iPhone 8 to be Announced at September 12th Keynote

You are not wrong. Was on the phone for a couple hours the other day trying to get good info on preorder and iUp program. Was the most convoluted convo I've ever had with Apple, and I've had some doozies. Was xfered about 6 times all told. I think the expected delay for the x/edition will put...

iPhone 8 to be Announced at September 12th Keynote

I'm dialed in the app. My recent 27" iMac purchase history has all my info and CC correct, so should be eaazy peezy. Imma going for the x/edition device, so going to be an extended delivery window regardless. Don't think an extra minute or two will make a big difference in the grand scheme of...

iPhone 8 to be Announced at September 12th Keynote

Considering the nightmare I had last year with Sprint preorder system, was considering using the Apple Store app. Can I sign up for the upgrade program now so I don't have to do that when the presell goes live? Know this has been discussed as infinitum in the past, but may be helpful to others....

Upgrade late 2012 MacMini 2.6 Ghz 1.1TB Fusion Drive to iMac

OK, so have 3076 (core, tax for my area brings total to 3291) Apple store credit. The mrs wants the Adobe CC Photography suite and will be getting Apple Care+ so iMac budget is 2786. Was thinking its time to put on the big boy pants and upgrade our trusty late 2012 MacMini, custom configured w/...

To Vape or not to Vape E-cig discussion

^ At least the reports exposed the real issue, although the headlines contained the typical misleading anti vaping rhetoric. The real cause, ignoring battery safety protocols. I think every kid who has ever tested out a 9v cell with thier tongue would understand the simple concept, and could...

Late 2012 Mac Mini liquid intrusion

Small artist's brush, Q-tips, isopropyl and patience. Cleaned up nicely. Reassembled, fingers crossed. Booted right up, back to same page as when I yanked the power. Incredible after taking a bath.... Thanks for the support!

Late 2012 Mac Mini liquid intrusion

None, none at all, friend! Actually may have something to do with why it was still chugging along with copious amounts inside. Perhaps it's certified lubricants, LOL?

Late 2012 Mac Mini liquid intrusion

11 year old son James was at desktop using Mac Mini. Our toddler Kirk walked over with cup of apple juice and spilled it on desktop. Since the Mini was on, the internal cooling fan actually sucked in liquid. By the time I responded to calamity, I could hear the fan and liquid sloshing inside...
