When did you buy your iPhone?

Its been a while since iDay and I thought it'd be interesting to see the spread of iPhone purchases since its release. I figured the major dividing points could be: a) iDay: June 29th purchases only. b) iDay - Price Drop c) Price Drop - Holiday Season d) Holiday Season - Memory Increase...

    Symlinks and memory space.

Well, with the help of 666 I created some symlinks from /var/root/..... to var/mobile/..... to get summerboard and customize themes, NES games, etc. from installer to properly display. But then i thought, why not just directly symlink. So i deleted everything in /var/root/Library and then...

Customize 1.13 and user made carrier logos.

Ever since I updated my iPhone to jailbroken 1.1.1, none of the carrier logos that I have created will work in customize (version 1.13). All of the carrier logos that I have downloaded from AppTapp work, and the name format does no seem to have changed in the customize directory since the update...

just jailbroke and added installer to 1.1.1. Have a question?

As the tutle said, i just put installer on 1.1.1 and have added some apps. I knew that summerboard would not work on 1.1.1 but it also seems like rSBT and cystomize also don't work. Have other people been having this problem, or did i mess up somewhere?

    Downgrading to 1.0.2 from 1.1.1?

I have yet to upgrade to 1.1.1, however i have been able to restore my iPhone without being forced into an upgrade using a trick i found on iPhoneatlas.com. In iTunes (on a mac), you can hit the 'option' key and click on the restore button. A window opens that allows you to choose the file...

Things iPod Touch Users Can Look Take Advantage Of (thanks to iPhone users)

Seems like a good idea for a list to me: 1) Free streaming music from Seeqpod. www.seeqpod.com/iPhone/#_home 2) Web based applications and viewers for them like http://appmarks.com 3) Increasingly good web based games 4) More and more websites being formated for iPhone like...

iTunes 7.4 Ends Free Ringtones (for now)

I wanted to warn all of the iPhone users who have added ringtones to their iPhones with programs like iToner or other applications/methods. An article on iPhoneAtlas.com states: "Unfortunately, iTunes 7.4 also interferes with third-party tools for adding ringtones to the iPhone, including...

Switching SIM card from iPhone to other AT&T phones

In my spare time I like to do outdoor things (camping, kayaking, skiing, etc.) and I am worried about destroying my iPhone if I bring it along with me, so I have been leaving it at home when I venture out into the wild. This could be a problem if I ever run into trouble. My question is: if I...

iSkin Revo and iPhone Proximity Sensor

I have had my iPhone in a skin case for a while now, but one problem with it is that it blocks the sensor on the front of the phone, so the screen doesn't turn off when I bring it to my ear. I have been hearing some good things about the iSkin Revo, but I have not heard anything about whether...

Non-definative but SIMple speakerphone volume solution

I have found that when using speakerphone in a less-than-quiet area the volume of the speaker seems to increase if you hold the phone in the following manner: Hold the phone upside down with the screen facing towards you. Use your pinky and ring finger and the pad of your palm to hold the...

    Saving on-the-go playlists

i love the fact that the iPhone lets you edit your on-the-go playlist by letting you both add and remove songs from the playlist. However, it seems that there is no way to save your on-the-go playlist like you can on iPods. And it also seems that iTunes clears your on-the-go playlist everytime...

    iPhone and iTrip

Has anybody tried to use an iTrip to transmit music with the iPhone? I did the other day and it worked, but it was harder to pull out than the charger that was included with the phone. I don't want to rip the charging slot out of my phone but I would like to leave my iPod behind when I drive to...
