testmyiPhone.com

I was waiting in line at my local Sam's Club when I decided to try testmyiPhone.com. Here's a snapshot of the results. Pretty good!
I hope I read that right? What speed is 3G supposed to be rated?

I believe that my dowload was .22mbps

I am from Nashville and was back visiting family last month. I noticed the 3G coverage there was much better than here in The Houston area, where it is very spotty. I lived in Franklin for several years, grew up east of Nashville.

I'm getting the same crappy #"s. Live in Jersey, work in NYC. Guess we should be lucky we're even getting 3g at all. Wasn't getting any 3g all of last week anywhere at anytime for a whole week.

I'm sorry, I don't buy the speeds on testmyiPhone. I know the developer is here and I'm sure he's a great guy, but I just tested my 3G on the site and I got a 1.42 mbps, so then I try CNETs site and my iNetwork Test app and both give me a rating of around 500 kbps.

All done within seconds of each other. there is NO WAY i lost half my connection speed in the seconds it took to load the other two tests. its raising the BS flag waaay high.

I actually called AT&T and complained and they told me that it was a service problem in the tri state area. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. One minute it works blazing fast, the next, nothing loads - from the same exact location mind you.

On the speed test, yes, these numbers are BS. Is the theoretical limit not 1.4 mbps? I read and heard this several times. Use dsl reports' iPhone speed test. I have found it to be very consistent and accurate.
