120GB iPod

I was just looking over the available models for the iPod classic and looking at some of the previous posts and I noticed that Apple once stocked and sold a 80GB & 160GB iPod classic; althought now they only sell a 120GB iPod.

Does anyone have any ideas on why this may be?

I read somewhere that some people believe the reason is so that Apple can continue to slim their products as much as possible? Do you think this is the reason?

This must be annoying to some who have large amounts of music and/or videos as the size of the iPods seems to have been fairly massively limited.
