Does anyone know if 3.1 is getting close to being issued? Also what kind of improvements can we really expect?
Thanks

mmm? what about "old" iPhones? i even changed the battery, got one with extended capacity. though i was aware it was a firmware issue, i thought that the new battery will change something, but no..
and the only reason i'm waiting for 3.1 FW was fixing the battery issue. was waiting...:(

I am on 3.1 beta 3 and the battery life is as bad or worst than 3.0. I am hoping with the 3.1 gm(final release) that all of the bugs and beta debugging software is removed and makes battery better.

I really hope that's bull... Although I've been on MMS, everyone else I know have iPhones and don't know how to or don't want to do what I did to get it.
Well that is how it is atm, they are there but for most they don't work. Some use the 5.0 or 5.1 ipccs and were successful but some require constant switching the sim from the iPhone to a phone that can currently send mms messages.

What did you do to get it? I most likely would give it a try.

MMS allows you to send pictures along with your text message and AT&T has said it won't be available till the end of summer.
