How does iOS 6 work on the iPhone 3GS so far? What features are available and how is the performance?

Mine works fine, no slower than it worked on IOS 5.1.1 I think the battery seems to be draining a bit faster but I'm not sure if that is because I am playing with it more than usual.

I did too at first. All I did was restart and it worked perfectly.

I think Chris posted another fix on the topic that is dedicated to that problem.

I find it a little more sluggish, no connection or other problems after upgrading via iTunes on PC

My 3GS is doin just fine, running nice and smooth and may be a tiny speck faster but it's not any slower or buggy at all.

-Safari seems really fast to load that may just be Apple tinkering w/the progress bar animation and fooling my eyes.

It'll do till I get my new phone soon :)

I'll give you an update when I've got it up and running on my 3Gs. It's installing as I type this. (Just hoping I get no errors or out like that! Seeing that's what usually happens with me. lol).

ArsTechnica did a speed comparison of opening apps, etc. If I recall correctly, the difference was minimal. The benefits gained by the updates in iOS 6 > any speed loss. You won't find Siri or turn by turn -- but plenty more in iOS 6.

I like it. I really like tweet and post option in the notification center. Can't wait to try out all of io6 when I get my new phone.
