For anyone looking for a refurbed 4GB model for $299.00, they're back up on the Apple refurbished sale page. They weren't there yesterday and there's no telling how long they will last.

Wasn't it $299 for a brand new 4GB iPhone? Apple is smart, rolling out the refurbs after the new ones sold out.

The original price for the 4GB was $499. When they dropped the price of the 8GB from $599 to $399, they dropped the 4GB model alltogether.

When they dropped the 8gb to $399, you could still buy brand new 4gb for $299 at the Apple and AT&T stores although supply was limited.

I thought that the 4GB was available new for $299 for a short time when the 8GB dropped to $399, then they dropped model the 4GB when they "sold out."

I think I new 8GB for $399 is a better deal than a refurb 4GB for $299.

Yes, they sold their remaining stock of 4GB models, but they had halted production of the 4GB. That's what I meant when I said they dropped it.

I just picked up two. Regardless of the fact that they were new for $299 I can still turn a $100 profit each on ebay for unlocking them and selling them.

How did you buy one if you are canadian?
In this particular case - I sent it to my US office and will pick up next week. But I also use mail forwarding services that accept your parcels and ship anywhere in the world - or allow you to pickup! The later is how most Canadians are getting their iPhones.

Good Luck!
