4K-resolution iMac (or just a Thunderbolt Display) to debut alongside Yosemite?

A couple of newly published articles are reporting that Apple may launch an iMac equipped with a 4K-resolution display alongside Yosemite... or at the very least, a 4K-resolution Thunderbolt display.

Here's a graphic taken from the Wikipedia article on 4K resolution which puts into perspective the vast amount of pixels that a 4K-resolution display would contain:

4K content has only fairly recently become available on YouTube. If you have an iMac 27", then try viewing the video below at the 1440p setting and you'll see how beautiful it looks at 1440p. Imagine this same video at 2160p, which is what 4K resolution is going to offer.

Thunderbolt Display to pair with the Mac pro, maybe, but definitely not an iMac.

Wow. 4K on an iMac. Sounds fascinating. I own a 4K TV and the sad part is that I am yet to watch a 4K video. Hardly any content available out there. It is pretty frustrating.
