I have a lot of song on iTunes from other sources without any artwork. So I went into Advanced- then into Get Album Art Work. And it gave me a message asking if i am sure i want to do this because Apple doesn't keep track of your library and they would be sent this information. So can I add it from Apple like this or is it opening a can of worms, if you know what I mean.

...or import your own legally purchased CDs. Apple won't necessarily have album artwork for them so a bit of surfing can help.

Also, if you're using a Mac, have a look at Doug's AppleScripts - there are a number of useful iTunes related scripts there. One I use often is called 'Find Album Artwork With Google'.
