I like most of us have been waiting for the retina MacBook Pro 13" but i have to say that i am unsure that i personally am going to upgrade. The price here in the UK is around £1850 for the 2.9 i7 with 256gb SSD but and this is the thing for me, it will only have 8gb RAM and not the 16 that my current 2011 MBP can handle.
I was going to upgrade and then pass my current model onto my wife as she wants a MBP for doing school work as she is a teacher and finds using mine so much easier than a windows machine, she reckons that on some of her tasks it can save her 3 hours a week working on a mac. I may well just update to the non retina model from the refurb store as i have done this before and been very happy with my purchase. I can do this for around £1000.
Anyone else feel the same way?

Have you found a need for 16GB? Our iMacs at home have 12GB and 8GB respectively. My MBA has 8GB. I'm just about to order a MBPr15" but am trying to decide on configuration (processor and memory).....
