I've been getting a few angry texts from the few friends that I have that are s3, note etc. basically Android phone users. It's not only me either it's my buddy who also has a iPhone5 his phones been sending double texts as well. This is only happening to Android phones though. Just wondering if anyone here is experiencing this and what the problem might be?

Anytime you get a double text it is a reception issue. On either end. The system keeps sending it because they aren't getting the long back showing it was successfuly delivered.

Ahh ok well it's just weird they've only been getting double texts from iPhone 5 users. Not even all iPhone users just the 5. Either way I'm not getting double texts only sending them apparently so all is good I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

I'm maintaining it is their carriers in their reception areas. Bad reception so it keeps getting sent to their phones until they receive it. Then they get all of them at once.
Your phone is not capable of sending them out twice. Unless you make it send them twice. Once it sends it is processed and sent tithe applicable carrier then applicable tower.

I was having the same problem with texts being received double from my 5S. I finally was able to resolve this with ATT help. Go to settings-messages--Send & Receive. Then at the top of the page you will probably find your Apple ID and in the middle of the page your phone number. Delete you Apple ID at the top of the page and the problem should resolve.
