Good morning iCafe'ers!

I have a question if you have any good (price worth) App that will be able to change the resolution on pictures.

Why I ask this question is because an homepage (http://www.smartphoto.se/produkter/fotopresenter/mugg) is offering an "template" to insert your picture for a mug, then they will create the personal mug.

I had this picture and it looks nice, since SmartPhoto staff said that the mug will have white edges around the "ear" of mug

They recommend to use the resolution 2480x1146 and "panoramic" picture.

Thanks for the help!
//God Bless, Richard.

Stretching / changing resolution of the photo, if it's smaller than the required size, will cause a lot of pixelation and pretty much ruin the photo.
Any idea what the size if the original image is?

Agreed. You're better off creating a brand new original at the resolution the mug-making company is asking for, unless the original resolution is fairly close to the desired resolution.

The Faithbook picture is 525x210. (23 Kb JPG)

I've been using PicsArt Photo Studio -

And pasted the same white colour as the mugs porcelain is on the faithbook pic.
From that to the size they mentioned is too great a change. Enlarging it will leave it full of "jaggies". You should create a new logo and start off with a canvas size of 2480x1146.

What App shall I download to be able to create a picture with the resolution 2480x1146?

//Thanks a lot!
I was referring to an image editor (on a desktop, running OS X or Windows), like Photoshop or one of the free alternatives:

I don't know if there's a comparable app for iOS. It would have to have a text tool (for typing out the text in the logo) and a gradient fill tool (for the background). I do my image editing on OS X.

See if this one is better... It's a much larger image. It's only 1024x605 which seems to be the largest the mobile app will let me upload

I found a very large version of the same image. I brought it down to 2480 x 1146 in Photoshop. This should work well for that mug.

faithbook.jpg

Just save it to your desktop and then upload it to the mug-making company’s website (click on it first so that you don’t end up with the thumbnail version, which is tiny).
