Apple Has More Cash Than the U.S. Government
Now this is what we call capitalism.

Reaching milestones and breaking records are nothing new for Apple, but its latest achievement is a whole different ball game. Based on its June quarterly earnings report, Steve Jobs and company reported having more cash than the United States government.

As it is, the U.S. Treasury Department stated that they have an operating balance of $73.768 billion. In contrast, Apple reported cash reserves of $75.876 billion.

Now if only we can convince Jobs to lower the price of the iPad.

I read this, too. Well, the Government is no bank and no company, so of course it does not have to be the richest of them all.
