Is there any reason not to give an Apple ID within a game app for an update for more in the game? And I think there will be no cost. Not sure if its just connected to the App Store still or would I be giving out my info just to any one in this situation?

Are you asking whether or not you should use your Apple ID as your name within a game? Or if you can give someone your Apple ID to add you to play against you?

In both of these situations, I see no problem. For me I play games where my Apple ID is seen as my username, but that's all that is seen.

I would have to see what you are referring to. Be careful in this situation as some games try to get you to update to the paid version for more features.

If an app has an update, it would tell you in the App Store when you see if you have any app updates. Sounds like the update within the game may cost something. Which game is it?

I do see paid updates and purchases that can be made when I checked the game app in the App Store.

Sure, not a problem. This is one reason why games are risky in my opinion. Free game apps obviously will try their best to convince their players to purchase upgrades or new features. This gives them the money they need to fix issues and keep the game free.
