Recent rumors indicate that the Apple iPhone 5S will be the new flagship device of the company and is expected to have very good hardware specifications.

WOOSH! Thanks for the table!

IF this is all TRUE it sure looks good to me! (y)
Looking forward to the end of year release. :D
I say that because I don't believe it'll be out before the last quarter of the year.

I don't know if they are going to come out with a 128 GB model iPhone this year. It would be great if they started to, but there isn't another phone on the market hat has 128 GB of internal storage.

And finally 2GB of internal memory for the operating system! Couple that with 128GB of storage for media files and you just might have something there!

You do not need 128GB of storage on a phone.
I used to share your opinion until someone here reminded me that the phone is sometimes used for video (1080P). Video takes a lot of memory, I can see people running out of storage fast while on vacation filming and taking pictures. 128 if definitely needed.

I have over 60 minutes of 1080p video on my i5 and I only have a 32GB and I am nowhere near half full.

If you have, let's say, 5 HD movies on your phone at 3-5 GBs per movie that's around 15-25 GBs. 60 minute homemade video at 1080p I'm guessing would be somewhere around 10-12 GBs (I'm basing this off of a 20 minute video that I took that is 3.5 GBs). High graphics games like MC4 and Asphalt 7; let's say you have 4 of those at 2 GBs per game. 500 songs at 2 GBs. And pictures at about a half gigabyte. So you are talking about 35-50 GBs right there and that's not counting that a person may have 50 more apps, a lot more multimedia content like podcasts, books, and magazines. Even with a 64 GB iPhone, it doesn't leave much room for adding more content. Surely, you can make the argument that you don't need all of that content on your phone. But with data caps and the time it takes to download HD movies, I'd rather just keep them on my phone and have them when I need them.

I could use 128gb iPhone to hold my entire music library...

Is it possible Apple would offer this size, yes, realistically, no. In the new age of cloud computing, Apple would rather you buy more storage through iCloud or use iTunes Match for music than manufacture a phone with more storage.

Probability of a 128gb iPhone is very small IMO.
