And we are still arguing on what Apple should and should not do, I think they know exactly what they are doing.

Can't argue with the success Apple is having. The company is a juggernaut.

Commercials for iPhone apps are everywhere now, the media has giving Apple that extra push, not that they weren't doing well, I've been reading the numbers, but it's not just a phone anymore, it's a necessity. I'm enjoying Apple rise to take over the world while everybody else falls into a black hole.

it's only a matter of time, I just hope for everyones sake that the company motto won't change, consumer experience and satisfaction above all!

Yes. Apple pulled stunning sales. It was like 18.8 million this quarter, wasn't it? Even with bugs with there products, there still selling a lot! isn't this double from last quarter?

Nokia went through a major change these last few months. Dropping their old mobile OS and adopting WinMo7... gonna take some time for them to regain their bearings. They could definitely bounce back. But Apple will only continue to grow in that time as well.

A new dumb-phone starts around $50. Nokia is king in this category. The coup de grace though is that used smartphones; Apple, Droid, RIM, in excellent condition relegate dumb-phones to the stubborn.

i think the data plan cost is more of a deterrent than the cost of the hardware. Heck, you can get a brand-new 3GS for $49 (subsidized) now.

Exactly. A used smartphone lets you skip mobile data in favour of wifi hotspots. Dumbphone sales are or soon to be crashing.
