Saw that the new AppleCare+ also comes with two instances of accidental damage due to use...but it said that the program must be purchased at the time of iPhone purchase...really?

If you ordered on Apple you were supposed to purchase it at that time. I ordered from AT&T and they do not sell that option. I called Apple and they told me you can purchase it at their retail store within the first week or two. I guess you have to go to the store so they can see the phone and make sure it is ok before they give you the plan.

When I helped my sister order the iPhone 4S, I couldn't add Apple Care+ to the cart. I'll tell her to get it at the Apple Store.

I just got an email from Apple wanting to know if I wanted to add it. They said there was no opportunity during checkout to add it.
    Glad about this.

You get 30 days to go to the store. Obviously they prefer the first week or 2 but 30 days is your limit.
