Several stock apps will gain 3D Touch support in iOS 9.3.

MacRumors reports: "On the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, there are new 3D Touch Quick Actions for several of the stock apps, including Weather, Settings, Compass, and Health. Weather's Quick Actions allow you to see the weather at your current location or for saved locations in the app. Settings includes useful shortcuts for accessing Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Battery, and Wallpaper options. Health's Quick Actions provide access to the Medical ID or a user's dashboard, while Compass now features options to open directly to the compass or the level."

Did you guys know that the Contacts app, and the Contacts tab in the Phone app, have 3D Touch actions? If you press the contact's photo (but not their name), you get 3D Touch actions.

I do now, thanks. It also works in the favorites tab.

Thanks for the info. Just like the favorites tab it gives you options in any contacts, favorite, or recent calls that's in list view

By using 3D Touch in the messages thread list, you can peek at messages and not show a read receipt.
