Are iPhone app updates always free? Does it depend on the developer?

Are you jailbroken?
I swear it costs something.
I'm talking about the updates.

Yes. I've been in iOs for 3 years and I haven't came upon an app that costed money.
He hasn't come across an app UPDATE that costs money is what he meant to say.

An app update is free. Even when you paid for the initial app itself.

Btw Mac that whole sentence was bad. Costed? Really?

Mostly true, yes, app updates are free. Sometimes companies like EA will update things like Tetris and Bejeweled and charge for the update in essense. They pull the old version from the app store and only the new one is in there, so if you want the "update", you gotta pay again. So far, EA is the only one's I've seen doing this.

If an app is free yes and updates are free but before buying read fine print because some apps have add one etc and that will cost or free trial And than you get billed.

Even if apps cost money updates are always free, new features through in-app purchases aren't.
