My iPhone is still the original virgin pre any update iPhone with all my cool 3rd party apps. I haven't been on here in a while just checking in every once in a while. Are peoples iPhones still getting bricked when they update? Some of the new features of 1.1.3 make me finally want to go back to an unhacked version and update but I really don't want to get bricked...

Good Question. I'm in the same boat as you. I would like to finally update but not if I'm gonna brick the damn thing. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.

Hello

If you have jailbroke your iPhone please don't update. The new firmware will brick your phone.

Wait until we are told it is safe.

Cheers

I sure hope it doesn't take too long...... Are people still figuring out how to jailbreak them after the new updates?

When you press, Restore, you must Restore & Update.

You can update to 1.1.3 form a jailbroken 1.1.2. I tried it last night (jailbroke to test it out) and I'm on 1.1.3, un-bricked. There is a rather large portion of 'Other' in iTunes, though.
