I have a 1st Gen iPhone. I have an exchange account that requires a passcode, which eliminates the "never" option from auto-lock.

I can't find anywhere in Apple documentation how the auto lock behaves when the iPhone is plugged in to power (USB/Cig Lighter).

If its plugged in to power does it eliminate the auto lock functionality altogether?

Thanks

If plugged in it should still auto lock, mine does. If it's not doing so maybe it's time for a restore.

No, charging should not disable the feature.

Interesting. Mine seems to disable the auto-lock functionality when charging AND playing music. If I'm not playing music it still will auto-lock.

I'm glad it works that way, keeps me from having to enter my exhange passcode everytime I want to skip a song and go to a new playlist.

I'm going to run one last test today and have it play music and see if it ever locks.
