I am trying to setup my music in iTunes and I have been told that if I add my music collection to the automatic folder of the music folder my music will appear! I have done this and this is not working, I have tried adding a single album that I have and it still does not list in my playlists.

Please can someone help me as really want my iTunes to see all my music, also been told that iTunes will sort my music - this is a NO NO as my music is in the correct folders already.

I'm going to assume you are running iTunes 9 or later. The folder is called "Automatic Add to iTunes", create an alias of the folder, drag and drop it to the desktop or any folder. Once you add music to this folder, it should automatically be imported into iTunes. If you are using bit torrent, you will want to point the downloads folder to the other folder. It's also worth saying that it depends if it's a supported file whether or not it will show up.
