Automatic downloads.

I've bought some songs on the PC and the iPod touch has automatic downloads of music enabled.

So when does it download or is there something I have to do to trigger it?

There is no such thing as an iPod touch :p


Once you've enabled Automatic Downloads it should just sync over. I don't think it's instant, it may take a little while. I usually find it's under an hour. If I download an app on my iPhone 5 it usually appears on my iPad shortly after.

Thanks for the reply. Been about 5 hours and no such luck. I'm guessing the Wi-Fi goes to sleep when the auto lock kicks in.

There's no why to have that sleep function disabled when it's on a charging cable is there?

Anyway, manually setting it to never and hoping the songs start downloading.

I'm not too sure then how it works unless you use iCloud. When my phone connects to wifi when it's locked it performs an iCloud backup. Therefore syncing all my 'stuff' - but like most things Apple, it should just work...

The automatic download will only work with new songs purchased after it is turned on not on songs already purchased. Same goes for apps.
