Battery draining too fast?

I'm well aware that the battery on the iPhone 3G drains fairly quickly if you have certain options turned on and use it heavily, but after having charged it fully last night (1:30 am - 7:30 am) my battery seems to be draining quite fast.

I currently have the following off:

Bluetooth
Location services
Push data
Brightness
Wi-Fi

I have always used 3G and currently have it on as it has not drained my battery any faster than using Edge as I have noticed. Normally I can use my phone all day without much drainage, but for some reason today it's going quite fast. I'm guessing it did not charge fully or something is effecting my battery usage, even though I have only sent a few texts out this morning.

My battery was at 100% at 7:30 and then at 2 hours later it had already gone down a small percentage (5%). Usually it's at 100% up until almost lunch then starts going down after using it for small things.

I did restart my device and turned it off for a bit but it's still draining quite fast.

Any ideas?

I am jailbroken on 2.2.1 but have no background processes running or using any extra elements such as themes or services.

Thx for any info.

Hmmm try a restore? Or drain your battery fully then charge gain or if they still don't work send it back to Apple for a new or refurbished one.

What does your usage say Settings>General>Usage?

Probably some process didn't shut down completely, although a reboot should have fixed that.

1)Try a hard reset (holding home and power button until the phone shuts off, keep holding until the Apple logo appears.
if that doesn't work
2) Restore from back up
if that doesn't work
3) Restore as new
if that doesn't work
4) Take it to Apple
