Only thing I have on is wifi and iTunes wifi sync but my iTunes isn't open, so would that be causing my battery drain? iMessage is off, all of my notifications are off, bluetooth off , all safari tabs closed, screen brightness a little less than halfway, mail off, all multitasking closed as well.... this isn't good at all.

Current battery life : 69%
Time since last full charge
Usage: 3 hours 2 mins
Standby: 6 hours 33 mins

I've noticed on 5.0 battery still drains while on standby.
I went to sleep last night with the phone fully charged, woke up this morning and it was down to 94%.
I'm on the iPhone 4 still.

wow.. Yeah mine did go down from 80 to 70 last night. I am guilty of using Siri for about 45 minutes cause it wasn't working all day yesterday. However it only took it down to 86 percent and it's been draining really fast. I'm already on 61% since i posted this. Maybe my calibration isn't good or my battery just sucks. I drained it to 3 percent last night before charging.

so maybe it's a combination of both.
It's a new software with lots of new features, with time you'll get it straighten out.

I noticed this as soon as The finished OS came out (our iPhone 4's)
GM was perfect for us
now I noticed a lot of notification services and location was turned on so I took care of this which improved but is not like I am used too.
I thought "Find my Friends" did it but that was not the cause

Ya I have noticed my battery taking a dip and diving faster than I'm used to, all these notifications, new features, updates and software come at a price.

This is a slice of what Android users feel (their batteries are still far worse in my opinion)

No wonder Mr. Jobs wanted to wait before these types of features were unleashed, not everyone will be pleased at all w/the battery output of their devices now. there's always a price to pay for more options.

Opinion? I can give fact based details from experience, Android battery life is horrible.

Just some examples from using my Evo 4G, with 4G turned off and only 2 widgets:

If I walked from my apartment over to the nearest grocery or Starbucks, it's about a 10 minute walk. I could leave with the Evo battery on 100% and, by the time I arrived, it would be down to 83%! I did the same thing with my 4S this morning and was only down to 97%.

Sitting here working on some tax paperwork, my 4S has been idle and only gone down 1% in the past hour. Sitting idle for an hour, my Evo would usually lose 10 to 12%.

I bought an extended battery for the Evo, it made the phone so big that my hand would hurt, if I used it for awhile, but even turning everything off and using a Gingerbread ROM, I could barely get 6 hours out of it.

Reason why Apple just leaves the battery inside..

I've noticed the same thing on my iPhone 4. The battery is draining a lot faster on iOS5 than I am used to. I'm going to have to do something to fix this!
Meh.. i'm not gonna be anal about it this time LOL. It'll be fixed in updates, there are still a lot of bugs with iOS 5, there was in iOS 4 at first as well.
