Just a few days ago my battery life was phenomenal, now it's terrible! It's really disappointing. I don't know what's causing it!

Try a hard reset. If that doesn't work, reset all settings. Restore if neither of those suggestions help.

It seems as if all of this occoured after a hard reset, then it went dead and I let it charge. Then after 7 hours on the charger it only charged to 89%.

7 hours? Where you using it during the charging? Games, etc...

Perhaps...I did notice it's increase in heat. But, I've had my iPhone charge in the same spot for a year or so, and it's never not charged to 100%.

But on day 1, when charging up it was super hot.

This really sucks! I finally had a battery life I was happy with, and now it's gone!

Have you tried my suggestions?

Can you charge it, let it run down and then post your battery statistics. Right now, we're all shooting in the dark a bit. Better understanding your situation with verifiable stats might help pinpoint the issue.

Sorry about that.

Your referring to let it charge to 100%, then use it and post the stats when it's at 1%, right?

You need to restore it if it gets "super hot" while charging and won't charge higher than 89%.

If it's not doing these things anymore, don't worry about it. A 39% drop in the battery in 1.75 hours is fine with battery-intense types of usage. I get about 5 hours out of a full charge when using the internet.
