I certainly don't expect that this'll generate much excitement (if any at all), but the BlackBerry Messenger App's launch on iOS may be imminent.

I reckon that each iOS user knows, on average, 0.1 people who are using BlackBerry's phone still, so I'm only providing this information as a service to those Blackberry users and the iOS folks who love them.

The bugle can now be played for my BB, after a year of waiting corporate finally replaced our BB with an S3. I almost feel like my BB needs a eulogy, but I can't think of anything I actually liked about it.

This is something that should have happened years ago. They wait until Blackberry's funeral to do this, really?

Okay, there's been a development. Blackberry can't seem to get anything right. It'll be available tomorrow, not today. You've already got it if you're in Malaysia, though. Please share initial thoughts if you've already got your hands on it.

I'll be getting it tomorrow, but I'm not sure I can provide a good review, as I don't know anyone on Blackberry, so I guess I can only try BBM'ing myself.

As someone who has never used a blackberry, what's the big deal with BBM?

Do we not already have enough IM apps?

With BBM having 10 million messages sent each day, it's an undeniable part of the instant-messaging world. Whether BBM ever sees the light of day is not really important to the vast majority of iOS users, but staying abreast of events in the mobile computing industry cannot hurt.

That's BB's story the past few years with being late to the party and by the time they get there everyone has already left.

BBM for iOS launched!

Update: Just installed the app. The fine folks at Blackberry are holding my spot in line. Unfortunately, I have no clue what my spot in line is. Am I #50? Am I #50,000? Not surprised that the BBM devs couldn't take a few extra minutes to add code to their app to tell the user what their spot in line is.
