I have a blue number icon to the right of the application area of iTunes. I don't remember seeing this before. What is it for?

Thanks.

You have apps that have updates available.
App updates show up on the App Store icon, not the iTunes icon.

Mr5150, What happens when you open the iTunes app, anything different? IDK, maybe a new Podcast?

Mmmm, perhaps I misread the post. I thought the OP was referring to the app section in iTunes on his/her computer, not the app on the phone.

All apps are up to date. I don't use podcasts. This is not part of the App Store... it's under "Library" then "Applications" the number changes sometimes when I sync. Sometimes 10 or 6 or 2 or whatever :) just weird. No biggie, everything works, just buggin me.

Yes in iTunes on my PC , not iPhone

iTunes will show you updates for apps that are still stored in your iTunes account even if they are no longer on your phone. You can run those updates in iTunes w/o having to synch the apps to your phone.

Thanks! That was it....I feel pretty stupid. I thought it was an update deal all along but I thought it might a "right click" option or something. I never noticed the OBVIOUS update option on the bottom right......

THANKS AGAIN...
I'm stupid or just getting old. That sucks. ;)
