No problem in my 2014 Corvette. Chevrolet MyLink Gen II. Works fine with my iPhone 6 plus and both iOS 8.0.0 and 8.0.2. I should have specified that I have made a calls, received calls, used the contact list for a call via the in-dash and streamed music. I have not attempted a call/hold like in your description.
There is a definite problem with some systems. It is all over the Internet and I was surprised to not see it here.
I have a Corolla bluetooth system and have had problems since I got my 6 plus. I read about a lot of possible solutions including deleting my phone and re-adding it, re-setting network connections. The only thing that actually half fixed it was deleting my old iPhone 5 from iCloud. The phone now works through the system on calls, but the Pandora and Sirius sound quality is very poor on bluetooth audio and only sounds right on iPod wired connection.
I'm hoping 8.0.3 will have a fix for this since 02 didn't.
I just paired mine today with a 2004 Prius. I have a 13 Prius too and no issues with that either. I also paired it with a few portable speakers with immediate connectivity. I have read that some people are experiencing difficulties. I guess we shall see an update in an upcoming firmware revision.
Mine would sync just find and could use Siri and listen to music but when I make a call and the call got answered it would be dead silence after 3-4 seconds had to change my audio to phone. But since the update to 8.0.2 it works fine. 2013 Hyundai Sonata hybrid
I have 2014 Chevy Silverado. It pairs fine, plays music fine and answers calls fine. But when I hang up the phone, it does not start playing music again. I have to completely delete the phone and re-add it. I have a iPhone 6.
