Darn, where were you earlier. My Epson XP-410 took a dump because I tried using refilled cartridges. Never again. So I replaced it this morning with an Epson XP-820. Wish I would have known.

That's exactly what the article said that people do these days:

"Most people buy printers by price: $100 is the magic number for anybody but a photo enthusiast, and printer makers like it that way. They lose money on the hardware and make it up on ink.

We don’t love paying through the nose for the ink, and the arrangement means that at the first sign of printer trouble, many of us just dump the thing and buy a new one."​

It is too late to try to pack everything up and return it, or get a store credit at least?

I could, but I've already got it all set up on my network and the drivers installed on the 5 computers on my network at home so, next time I know which way I'll go.
