    Hi

This is kind of a long story and I am hoping someone will be able to assist me. I got an iPhone 3gs from the states last year. I had the phone jailbroken and the network removed.

Last week sometime my phone gave me a sync to iTunes message to continue.
After messing around with the phone for over a week I accidentally updated the phone to version 4.1. Now when I try to sync the phone it needs the simcard (think it was AT&T) to activate.

I no longer or have access to an AT&T cellphone. Could someone please advise me how I can go about firstly activating the phone and secondly remove the network lock.

    Thanks in advance

If you are still on 4.1 than there is no problem jailbreak it again using redsnow and it will activate your phone (if think you have to check it in options)

thanks a lot. I have sort of made progress. Somewhat hehe. The phone has been jailbroken and I can use it. But I still need to remove the network lock.
