We have an iPod Touch 4th generation and my daughter just broke the screen. I called the Apple store to see how much it would cost to fix it and I was told that they can't give an estimate over the phone. I was just wondering what a ballpark figure would be, if anyone knows, before I travel to the store (which is not very close). Thanks!

They are fairly simple to change and cheap on eBay. I bought a broken touch off my brothers friend for $20 Ordered the screen on eBay for $7 and changed it myself.

I watched a how to video on replacing the screen myself and I really wish I could do that! It looked difficult but a much, much cheaper alternative! I ended up getting it fixed at a repair store (since the warranty ran out last month) for $99. Hopefully this won't happen again!

I recommend paying someone to do it. Still cheap. I once had one replaced for $30 including the shipping costs.
