Hi, just wanted to ask a question. I'm in Canada, and wanted to drive across the border to buy an iPhone, but I hear that the 1.1.1 version can not be properly unlocked and if you unlock it, you cant use the calling feature, is that true? What are my chances that when I buy an iPhone, it might still be the old version?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I'm in Edmonton and just unlocked mine last week. It's v1.1.1 and everything works fine (except visual voicemail......but that's expected).

This is the link I followed and had no problems http://forums.everythingicafe.com/t...thout-using-a-computer-the-final-guide.14087/
