Be careful with that... in many states it is illegal to record phone conversations. :)

If either end is in a sate where it's illegal you can be held responsible. Just an FYI

That spammer has made several ridiculous ketcup spam posts under multiple user names over the past week.

goranm, the App Store app "Recorder" works for recording outgoing calls but it's not free (99 cents) and you have to prepay for the time you want to record.

What is the purpose of a bot post when it is just a random phrase?

Don't think I'm crazy , but what if those "bot" posts are a test for something else ?

As in the calm before the storm? :) Yup... that's what many bots are out there for. But of course there's no effective way of knowing this so the best solution is to just swat them all when arrive.

The first couple that I saw with that exact phrase had a spam link in the sig. Not sure why this one doesn't.

What's really interesting is that everybody knows it's spam but still nobody has deleted it. Not only that but people are talking about it in useless posts that just load the forum. That's what it's supposed to be like! I love this forum when we are here to have fun like it's supposed to be and not all uptight and sweating the little things. :)

Anybody has found?

Did someone find an app to record calls on iPhone?

Don't answer me "it's illegal', I live in Canada and it's legal to record any call, without the other party's consent, as long as you take part to the conversation.

That beeing said, anybody found something?

Your logic is sound, however Once an incident involves 2 or more states, federal law is what you must follow, and federal law states that a phone conversation may be recorded as long as one party is aware of the recording. The recording doesn't become illegal simply Because one party is in a state that requires both parties to be informed of the conversation. And since federal law states that a person may recorded a phone converstation as long as one party is informed, a state can not make the act illegal, that would conflict with federal law. A state can, however, add to the law by requiring that both parties be informed of the recording.

I wouldn't bank on that.

"If a caller in a one-party state records a conversation with someone in a two-party state that caller is subject to the stricter of the laws and must have consent from all callers (Cf. Kearney v. Salomon Smith Barney Inc., 39 Cal. 4th 95 (2006))."

Don't some states require dual party consent. Like California?

Yes indeed. That was the issue in the case I quoted (the recorded calls were made from a one-party consent state).
