That implies true-tone flash is worthless and fails to acknowledge the automatic composite feature and clearer shots in the stock camera. Convenience is important and that 99¢ app can't compensate for the hardware and it doesn't have all of the features.
I need that app because I do use the lock exposure and focus feature and I use it a lot but Apple refuses to add them in there.

That's why I gave you almost haha I thought we agreed so disagree? Listen, nothing on the 5S impresses me, I just don't see a huge difference and I'll continue to feel that way because I'm confident on this camera.
Because you said something else that I disagreed with after we agreed to disagree. :D

Did you do that hour of 5s camera testing in an Apple Store? Were you able to test it in low light, action shots and the dual flash?

We've had a stock AE/AF lock on the iPhone's camera for a few years now. Just press and hold.

Oh yeah I did lol
I took some low light at an AT&T store, but I first tried the camera at Apple couple days after it came out. Shot exactly the same things at the same time, multiple times and just played with the phone because I really wanted to see if it was worth upgrading,

for me.

And I meant this, my bad, lock focus and white balance but still be able to adjust exposure.

I forgot this one. Still be able to move exposure while focus is still locked, and the amount. Great for morning shots.

That's Camera+ but if you need a better burst mode that's "Top camera" I don't remember if you have the 5S or not.
Thanks I had camera+ for a while but haven't had it on my phone since the 4s. Maybe it's time to re-download! I do have the 5s.

Apps like camera+ are always going to give you that much more out or your camera, and camera+ is pretty basic. But play with scenes

It's awesome when you blend it with the original image.

The one thing I learned about the 5 and 5s camera is the exposure and ISO. The max exposure time for the 5 is 1s while the max for the 5s is 1/2s. The max ISO for the 5 is 3200 while the 5s is 2500. I believe the reason for this is because the 5s pixels are larger which captures more light in less time. An advantage to this is that I no longer have to hold the 5s camera still as long as the 5 since exposure time is decreased with less noise in very low light situations. One drawback is I can longer use the high ISO and exposure time some long exposure apps provide to really brighten up super dark scenes.

What exactly is burst ? As I read this topic thread I'm feeling more enthused to REALLY learn about this camera (I have 5s) inside and out. My friend who's an impressive photographer told me to download Camera+.

Burst is when you take multiple rapid pictures by holding the shutter button

Yeah the burst is actually called high shutter speed in DSLR cameras. However, this burst feature is awesum.

Does anyone know an app which would let us adjust aperture and shutter speed and ISO values ?

There are many apps that allow you to select an exposure time/shutter speed. Aperture and ISO values? No.

I've never heard it referred to that on a DSLR. A high shutter speed is how fast the shutter opens then closes. 1/250, 1/500, 1/2000, etc...
This burst mode is referred to as FPS (frames per second) in DSLR speak :)
