Is there anyway to download new ringtones through the phone instead of going through iTunes?

I believe you can purchase new tones on your phone. That won't require you to sync with iTunes. It is still iTunes but if I interpret your post you are talking about doing it without having to save to a computer and drag into iTunes and then syncing with iTunes correct?

Ha, forgot about that. I've never done that. I like tones more than music for my ringtones.

I make my own tones, they sound better than the crackly crap you download through iTunes.

But then you have to save them and drag them into iTunes correct?

Creating tones through GarageBand ports them directly into iTunes. Or you can just SSH them onto the phone using your SSH/FTP client.

Whichever of my methods you use the sound quality is much much better, plus you get to decide which section of a song/video you're going to use for your tone.

I personally don't see any point in paying for something which you can get for free with two-three minutes of work.

I make mine or get them from zedge. But yes you still have to drag and drop to iTunes.

I didn't think zedge worked with iPhone?
yes it works I usually do it on my computer. You can pick iPhone as your phone. You download it and then drag and drop. If your on your phone you email it to yourself and down load drag and drop that's where I get all mine. I love it better than 1.99 that Verizon charges lol

Sent from my iPhone using iCafe app

I use phone zoo. You can make your own very easily and it puts them on your pc. Import to iTunes and you're set.
