I set up my iPhone on a Windows machine and was wondering if I could hook it up to my macbook? What will happen if I connect the phone up to the Macbook? Will anything get screwed up or will it sync correctly?

what about contacts? can you have your contacts from your pc and transfer/sync them to your new mac? so when you decide to do a restore on your mac it will have all of the contacts on it?
I sync to my mac at home and pc/windows at the office. I have it set to sync everything at home, contacts/calander/music/video but just calander/contacts at work. Seems to be fine.

I sync the majority of the info at home on my Mac, and sync just the Outlook calendar on my PC at work. It works just fine. The only problem I ran into was when my wife and I tried syncing the outlook info from both of our phones to the calendar on the Mac. It was just too much info to juggle and we ended up with lots of conflicts.
