On a PC, you should see "Apple iPhone" at the bottom of the list of drives in Windows Explorer. You can copy the pics from there to wherever you want.

On a Mac, you'll need to use iPhoto to pull them off.

For PC, It'll be listed in windows explorer.

For mac, When u connect the iPhone, iphoto will open up, when it does you can import the photos then do what ever you'd like with em.

For PC I use Googles picasa. It has an import button that will recognize the iPhone and pull all your photos into your PC. Lot of great editing tools in there as well. Also makes it very easy to share your photos either via the web or printing option. It is very worth the download.
