For some unknown reason, the universe was cooperating this morning and I managed an AT&T coup.. they unlocked my 4S even though I am not due for an upgrade yet. ( I am not interested in new phone anyway). I am going to be doing some traveling in the UK and possibly Spain and France in the near future. How do I get a Sim card that will work on local networks and will my phone number change?

I know in Italy you can get them at the airport, if not any Tobacco shop, as far as the number I'm 99% sure it will change, whatever comes with that sim card, but once you get that number it's yours and you can always use it each time you go back. That's what my sisters do.

No problem. It's the easiest way, and I don't know any others really, once you come back in the US, put the sim with your travel gear and it will be there next time you go. All you do is recharge it whenever you need it, as simple as going to any tobacco store and giving them your number. In seconds you are good to go.
