Hi,
I am wondering if I call AT&T and tell them that I want to cancel the iPhone plan in advance. I realize that I surely shall pay for the penalty. Then ask them to ulock iPhone for me. If doing so,what will be the minimun amount I shall pay? Will they agree with my request? Seems they don't have the right to do that, right? Since I will agreed to perform my duty. I know it is kind of stupid to do this for unlock rather than waiting for the unlock procedures form dev-wiki. I guess that there will just some one like me willing to do so.... Any ideas?
Thanks

here is what you can do
1. Buy the phone $500 (4GB)
2. Take home and activate via iTunes ($36 activation fee)
3. Call and cancel account on the same day (may not be possible) ($175 early termination fee)
4. Enjoy your $711 4GB glorified iPod

but the point is do they unlock your iPhone after you pay for it!
What if I finished the 2 years contract and they will not do it?

Nope.

It will still be locked to AT&T. At least is the way it will be if nothing changes between now and then. Two years is a long time though. They might decide to start unlocking phones tomorrow but don't bet on it.
