Can't decide between 8GB and 16GB

I know I'm buying the 3G, but I'm on the fence between the 8GB and 16 GB model.

I can afford the 16 GB and I want what I buy last me 2 years which I know 16GB would, but I currently have a total of only 7 GB of music and I'm not sure I see myself putting movies on it so a 16GB seems like it could be a waste of money that I could put towards extra accessories.

What do you think?

I currently have a 4GB V1 which I'm going to sell off.

if you have 7gb of music already then get the 16gb because the 8gb is only 7.sumtin gb because of the memory a lot of the stuff that comes with the phone takes up. so if you get the 8 itll get filled up real quick. and with the app store your gonna be using more and more memory. i only have about 1000 songs and i got the 16gb bec just the fact of knowing you have more then youll ever need is always nice also lol

You won't have all of the 8 GB because some of it goes for the phone itself so I would say 16 and in case you want apps, you don't want to cripple your ability to get them.

If it doesn't put you in a crunch then I would get a 16gb for sure. Number one you might have a few apps that you install. Two... you just never know what else you'll want to put on. And lastly, when you buy the next gen iPhone and sell this one, it will be more valuable than an 8gb.

iPhones are like honda cars; their resale value is always good, no matter if its a 8gb or 16gb.:p

I got the 16 because I love being able to have a choice of what movie I wanna watch. What song I wanna listen to. And not worry how many games and apps I get from the app store (even though they take no room). I just like it being carefree and pluging and syncing and not having to pick and choose

I was in the same situation, and then I started thinking, b/c on my last iPhone it was 8GB and I did not use it all up, well now, I have already used 4GB in 3 days, I am getting all kinds of stuff, and I went with the 16GB this time and I am glad that I did.

I was in the same situation, and I eventually opted for 16 GB. Only time will tell if it is worth the extra cost, but I was able to fill my 30 GB video player (Zen) pretty quickly, so I bite the bullet, and got the 16 GB.
