can't log in to App Store

    I switched the username on one of my two iTunes accounts...

    running 3 IPads and 2 iPhones on one computer...

    all are up to date with new username except 1st gen still has old cancelled account as username, can't log in even for free apps...

    backed it up today and did a restore but old account name is still on pull down, even with logging in with correct password you cant get access because account doesn't exist anymore...

    one thing I noticed is link for iTunes & App Stores that is right above Music on settings is missing on
    IPad 1 but is there on the other devices...that's where I changed username on other devices...

    computer says that the device is up to date with IOS 5.1.1 which I know isn't the latest update...

    Help! My daughter is driving me bonkers because she can't access. App Store..

    The settings are a little different on 5.1.1, which is the last supported firmware for the iPad 1.

    Go to Settings > Store > Apple ID > Sign Out.
    Then sign in with the new Apple ID.
