my husband just upgraded hid iPhone 4 for the Nokia lumia now when i text him from my iPhone it goes as imessage and he cant receive it. It wont even let me send it as a normal message.
iv deleted his number and re added as a normal mobile not under iPhone but still won't go through.
i can get his messages though.

Does he get the text if you turn iMessage off?

yes he does. So its a short time fix for me but it also means any of other friends on iPhone cant message him.

hes gone on his iPhone and removed his number from it and turned his imessage off and now removed his sim card

maybe a trip to the Apple store or service provider.

Maybe he's signed in somewhere else with his iMessage account like iPad?

You don't need to go to Apple. I've seen this happen before and I'm not sure of a fix other than waiting. The problem seems to fix itself hours later.

Well, I haven't seen it take that long. I did lots of troubleshooting and nothing worked. Then it just automatically started working a couple hours later.

Have you tried disabling iMessages and re-enabling it on your phone?
