Here are some tips to care for iPod's internal battery.

* Keep iPod comfy:
o Operating temperature range: 32 ° F to 95 ° F (0 ° C to 35 ° C)
o Storage temperature range: -4 ° F to 113 ° F (-20 ° C to 45 ° C)
* Do not leave iPod in a vehicle's interior when parked in the sun.
Temperatures may reach up to 150 ° F (65 °C).
* Do not leave iPod exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
* Do not charge iPod while it is in a carrying case or cover.
* Put iPod to sleep to save battery life. Press the Play button until iPod
goes to sleep.
* Charge the battery every 14 to 18 days when not in use. Even when iPod
is off it is in a sleeping state that requires power. Without use, iPod's
battery needs to be charged about every 14 to 18 days to be ready for
use.
* If iPod displays a "Low Battery" icon, connect it to the Apple iPod Power
Adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet. You may
also be able to charge iPod by connecting it to your computer. Make sure
the computer is turned on, and is not set to go to sleep.
* Keep it safe from kids and Pets and definitely don't wear it while
swimming :laugh2:

Enjoy.

iCleaner - iDontUse...

No need to buy any of the fancy iPod cleaner or cleanser out in the market. If you have not bought a screen protector, get one immediately -most important.
Other than the screen, all parts for all the ipod model can be easily cleaned using a slightly damped cloth. You can use your spectacle cloth as well for this purpose.
