use ibrickr to upload a carrier logo of your choice onto the phone. You'll have to search for exact directions.... Not hard and quite a basic modification.... Good luck

can you change the carrier logo if you are on O2 or just AT&T?

I think the reason it's having an issue is the carrier logo might be called something different on the O2 phones. Log in to the phone and go to
/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app. On AT&T phones there is a logo called FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png which is the logo you see when you are on the home screen. There is also a logo called Default_CARRIER_ATT.png where you see everywhere else. The ATT might be replaced with O2 in your case which is why none of the tools are working correctly. I'd give it a try manually and see what happens.
