Took a look at my phone to check the weather and a window said carrier settings updated New settings required for your device have been installed. Only option was to click ok. What's that?Is that some auto update?

AT&T right? That's for the Government Emergency Notifications. Go to settings, notifications and scroll to the bottom. You'll see 2 listed that you can toggle off. Presidential alerts aren't shown and can not be toggled off.

There were a few posts about it in other threads. So if you happen to hear a high pitched tone.....http://forums.everythingicafe.com/threads/annoying-high-alert.102879/

It's a 'forced' thing. Government mandated type of thing.
