i can't believe i hadn't thought of this sooner!

who are your favorite comedians?!?

these only in order if me remembering, and are really not my order. although Daniel Tosh is my #1.

1. Daniel Tosh - he is seriously the funniest man alive, and because of that he has been given two Comedy Central specials, both insanely hilarious. is comedy is so random that you can't help but laugh.

2. Demetri Martin - this guys is so freaking hilarious, and also has 2 CCspecials. he talks about everyday things but has a weird perspective on them.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=WGS7Q40Y4KU

3. Zach Galifianakis - you might know him from his random tv and movie appearances in Reno 911! and Out Cold. yeah, "fat jesus". this guy is wickedly funny and has such a dry sense of humor but makes some many funny points about everyday life and then also some very random ones.

4. Mitch Hedberg - wow. what can i say about mitch... he is a legend. unfortunately he was taken too early from us but he will definitely never be forgotten. he had a very dry sense of humor but was very hilarious. he also talked about every day things but his presentation and tone definitely set him apart from the rest. he has been on shows such as Dr. Katz and often on light night comedy. he was a great man and will forever be missed. drugs take people too early

5. Ralph Harris - you might have seen him get screwed on Last Comic Standing but don't just go based on his performances there, he is truly amazing. his style is funny since he uses different 'voices' to talk about his close family and things and it always gets me laughing. he also had a Comedy Central special a while back and it was killer!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZOCfh0bujA4

6. Kevin James - you have most likely seen him on King of Queens or in the movie Hitch but these are only a little taste of what his true comedy is. he is hilarious because he gets worked up over ths littlest everyday things and it is almost impossible to not laugh. He too has had a Comedy Central special and that is where i truly fell for his comedy.

there are a lot more comedians that i look up to but these are really big influences on my personal comedy style. and notice i did not mention Dane Cook. this is because i am not a true fan of him and that's really my own fault. i remember when i first discovered him i really did think he was freaking hilarious, but when everyone else found him... i refused to jump on his bandwagon. i mean he is pretty funny but sometimes i get tired of being yelled at for hours on end.

but anyway, post your reviews of your favorite comedians or PLEASE check out some that i mentioned! just 'youtube' their names and watch-away :)

lmfao XD

i'm not a big fan of listening to comedians in the car, and that's mainly because i am a huge fan of music. but if i ever have a long car trip, i'll make sure to get some things off of iTunes :p

"an escalator can never be broken, it can only become stairs. sorry for the conveinence"--- the late and great Mitch Hedberg

it doesn't help when your eyes are watering uncontrollably and you are half bent over the steering-wheel.

Caution! Do not operate heavy machinery while listening to Mitch Hedberg. May cause sever injury.

Great list... pretty much right in line with my tastes.

I would add Jim Gaffigan. Although his "3rd person" voice bits can get old for some and I usually don't dig that style, for some reason I just keep cracking up at him. I've seen his special like 5 times now and my eyes are bleary and sides hurt every time. Even the Hot Pocket bit never gets old to me.

dammit!
as i was reading i said "hot pocketssssssssssssssssssssss" and then you put it! DAMN! lol

yeah he is really funny aswell. i'm a big fan of his first Comedy Central special.. it is really good.

*on another note*
the bad thing about loving stand-up comedy/comedians is that there are WAY too many lines to quote! i feel jumbled just trying to think of the funniest when there is SO many!

sheesh

My roommates and I quote Mitch Hedburg allll the time. It's actually gotten to the point where we all know it so well we just laugh and look at each other because we're thinking of the exact same quote. Kevin James in "Sweat the Small Stuff" is absolutely hilarious. I've memorized practically the entire thing but I can't help but laugh EVERY time I hear him. Also, Demetri Martin is hilarious. Nice taste I must say.

I miss the days of The Comedy Channel when standup was nearly all they showed. It was like early MTV when they actually had something to do with music.

Only difference is I still like Comedy Central, I just think they should have a sister channel that focuses on their stand-up roots (no pun intended)

Remember "Stand Up, Stand Up" with Wali Collins? Man I lived on that show... but he was quite the dork.

Geez, between this thread and the game console thread, I just want to be a kid again. And I only just turned 30! Too young for such thoughts!
