    Hi everyone!

I just got my first iPhone (iPhone 4) on Thursday. Yes, yes, I know it's the oldest model, but I'm also quite poor right now. At any rate, I have, of course, added several contacts since purchasing my new phone. The names show up when these people text me. However, when I click on the "Contacts" app button, it says I have No Contacts. I am not sure why it is doing this or what I should do. I appreciate any help you can give me in making my contacts function correctly!

    Thanks!

When you go to your contact list, look up at the top left and click on the arrow tab. You may just be on the wrong tab. You want to be on "all contacts".

More than likely what is happening is that the contacts are being stored via an email account(your iCloud account). You would just need to do what jcmitchell5 said and switch to the "all contacts" view instead of a specific group.
