I have a question for you guys.

I am a current iPhone owner, and am on my parents Family plan with AT&T. We just pay the extra $$ for the iPhone plan which is only like 20$.
Would i be eligible for the 200$-300$ pricing?

Yes. Any v1 iPhone owner currently on the $20 data plan is eligible for the subsidized pricing of $199 and $299.

My friend waited 20hours in line and he is a current iPhone owner and he couldnt upgrade cause they said he bought his phone too long ago? They said if you bought your iPhone v1 before May 08 you were not eligible?

If texting is important to you, your bill is actually going to go up more than just $10 because there is no texting included in the $30/mo. 3G data package.
